Studies show that the world’s animal populations have decreased by 70% in the past 50 years. Since the first visit by humans to the Galapagos Islands, 23 species are known to have gone extinct (probably more). Currently, there are another 150 species listed as endangered or critically endangered.
The Galapagos Conservancy and the Galapagos Conservation Trust are 2 organizations working to preserve and protect the Islands. The Conservancy is “dedicated exclusively to the protection and restoration of the Galápagos Islands…” The purpose of the Trust is to “focus exclusively on the conservation and sustainable development of the Galapagos Archipelago.”
Please help support the efforts of these organizations by buying a calendar in my Printify store. You can view the calendar HERE. All profits from calendar sales go to one of these two organizations.
