Iceland: Join me for a rare event in a place of rare beauty
In August of 2026 a total eclipse of the sun will be visible from western Iceland. I will be leading a 10-day, self-drive tour of Iceland with a grand finale on August 12th when we view the eclipse from the Snæfellsnes Peninsula on the western coast of Iceland. The first vehicle (4 people) is already full, but we can add additional vehicles as needed. The price for the 10 days is $3450/person – double occupancy (NOTE: The price will be somewhat less if we can get a total of 8 people). Iceland is an expensive place to visit, but by booking early we keep the cost down. As the date of the eclipse approaches, I am sure the prices will skyrocket. The itinerary is shown below, but we still have time to modify it if you have any ideas. A 20% deposit ($690) must be paid by the end of 2024 and the full amount paid by July 2026.
For any birders in the group…this is Puffin nesting time.
