Iceland + Solar Eclipse = Amazing Trip

In August of 2026, a total solar eclipse will be visible from western Iceland, and I plan on being there to see it. I would like to invite you to join me to see the beauty of Iceland and the rare treat of a solar eclipse. The initial plan I have put together, in cooperation with Iceland Unlimited, is for a 10-day, self-drive tour, and the estimated price is about $3450/person. There would be 2-3 vehicles and we can set our own schedule. There is still plenty of time to make changes to the itinerary if someone has some good ideas on how we can improve things. I am open to any suggestions you might have.

The timing for this trip is perfect. The long and relatively warm summer days (12 hours of sunlight, high temps of 60F/low 45F) give us lots of time to explore and take photos. After all, who would go to Iceland without at least one camera?

I am not sure if the highlight of the trip will be the eclipse or the beauty of the Iceland summer, but either one is good with me. Please contact me if you have any questions or are interested in joining.
